Aspect Arena
A downloadable game for Windows
You pick an Aspect, build an army, and then you watch.
You never control the fighting. What you decide is who stands on the field and what they are holding. Then the battle happens without you, and you find out whether you were right.
An Aspect is not a stat bonus. It rewrites what every weapon in your army does. The same sword sets people alight under Pyre and stops them dead under Chronos. Choosing one is choosing what kind of army you are going to end up with.
A run, start to finish
Between rounds you shop. Buy fighters, buy weapons. Three of the same thing become one better one, so the duplicates you keep turning up are not waste.
Six go to the field. Anyone else waits in the garrison until you want them.
Ten wins takes the run. Your castle keeps its damage from round to round, so you can win plenty of fights and still lose the run by never repairing.
From round two, every third round offers you a second Aspect. Two of them share your XP so both level slower, but they fuse into something that is neither one on its own. The fusions are the best thing in here. Go and find a few.
Hover anything. Every card, row and number explains itself.
Ranked is on the menu, greyed out. It arrives with early access on Steam, because it needs other people's runs to fight and a season to count them.
This is a demo. Balance is still moving and some Aspects are stronger than others right now. Nothing carries between sessions except the Codex, which remembers every fusion you have found.
If something felt unfair, confusing or boring, that is the feedback worth having. Boring especially.
